Optician’s Carousel a True Eyecatcher

This rare and unique mahogany wooden optician’s carousel from ca. 1875 is a true eyecatcher. The carousel from France is used as a sight measurement instrument. By turning the wheels on each side of the carousel, numbered lenses with a variety of optical strengths pass the sight hole through which the patients can look at a small booklet with text. At the bottom there is a drawer with some extra collectable pieces, including an antique French spherometer.
